Rice pairs well with almost all dishes. From sweet to savory, you name it and it'll likely be good. This staple in many houses is too often used. So, here's my take on some delicious white/jasmine rice.

For cooking rice I use a rice cooker often. Specifically, an Aroma rice cooker on the white rice setting. Don't worry if you don't have a rice cooker, pots can do just right. Check below to see how to make this jasmine rice.

Jasmine Rice

Ingredients

SQUARE MARKET

2 Cups of 3 Sisters

  Jasmine rice

WINCO

Butter

Bouillon

HOW TO MAKE THIS FLUFFY RICE

Make rice

1. Using rice cooker wash 2 cups of rice with hand by swirling 3 times in cold water to remove extra starch build up from broken grains or other debris.

For white rice, use a cool temperature when washing to prevent cooking the rice in wash!

Strain rinse water. Then add 2 cups of water to rice. Place in rice cooker and choose white rice cooking option. When done fluff rice.

For pot cook

Repeat wash steps. Then bring 3 cups of water to high heat in pot. I use more water because it evaporates quicker than in the rice cooker.

Once boiling add rice and reduce heat to medium-low. Cover with aluminum foil and let simmer for 15 minutes. When done fluff rice.

Optional

Add in a cube of unsalted butter and a pinch of bouillon for a flavor boost.

ENJOY!
